VICTORIA'S SECRET FRAGRANCE MIST AND BODY LOTION REVIEW

I love the Victoria's Secret fragrance mists and I initially went into the store to get my favourite Coconut passion but as it was the seasonal period I know they do gift sets and I had been in the store a few weeks before and saw that they had the coconut passion miniature set which came with a 125ml fragrance mist, body lotion and body wash so I thought why not treat my self so I went back to that specific store hoping they would still have the set and just my luck they had sold out so I decided to go ahead and get the offer which was any three for £25 or five for £30. At £13 a bottle it just made sense to go for five which ended up working out as £6 per item but the hardest part for me was deciding what ones to get.

there were so many to choose from and as I am already a coconut passion fan and went in to get that I went for two bottles of the fragrance mist which is a Vanilla and Coconut scent and I am absolutely obsessed with everything vanilla but what makes me go back and purchase the Coconut Passion Fragrance mist is the mix of two scents it makes it so sweet and warm and the slight coconut scent makes it smell that much better when it's compared to other Fragrance mists that are solely vanilla.

I opted for the Coconut Passion Hydrating body lotion because it had the same scent as the Fragrance mist and I tried the tester in store and it left my skin feeling really silky and soft, I have been using this for a while now and I love it, because unlike some moisturisers the smell doesn't fade after you have rubbed it in it lasts a very long time especially if you layer it with the Fragrance mist and it is extremely hydrating and absorbs really well.

The Amber Romance Fragrance Mist hasn't always been a favourite of mine its a hit or miss, i've liked it but never enough to purchase it but when I smelt it in store this time round I decided to get it because it has quite a warm woody feel to it that I'm more into during the cold season and I've probably used this one the most since purchasing them because it's got such a nice warming feel to it.

lastly I got Secret Escape which was probably the hardest choice, I wanted a scent that was quite fresh and because the majority of them were fresh scents I was stuck and couldn't decided but ended up choosing this one because it was fresh but still sweet and its one of those scents you can wear as it starts to get warm because its so light but the guava flowers gives it a nice floral feel which I loved.

Which Victoria's Secret scents are you into at the moment?

Until next time xx

VINTAGE BASEMENT BRICK LANE

Vintage basement is one of many vintage shops in Brick Lane, but what sets them apart from the others for me is probably the price, It's the most reasonable Vintage store I know of in Brick Lane but the quality of products they sell are still amazing.
They have two floors, the full priced stock is on the the the main floor and the reduced items are downstairs on the bargain floor where everything starts from £5 and the amount of stock they have, I could of spent hours in there trying stuff on.

On my visit to Brick Lane I was looking for a long cardigan preferably black for work but I had an open mind, I looked through the knitwear section and found the most amazing grey cape style wool blend cardigan and instantly I had to have it, I wasn't putting it down I mean for starters it was probably warmer then all the knitwear I already own and secondly it was only £29.
I tried it on and I didn't want to take it off it was so cosy, its one of those cardigans you can wear on a not so chilly day or even if you are going shopping, it makes you look like you've made a lot more effort than you actually have and thats what I love about it.

I've worn it to go to Westfield and for me Westfield is one of those places that I never know what to wear because if I'm in a coat I get extremely hot and need to take it off but anything less and I end up freezing my ass of on the journey there and back but with this cardigan I was warm travelling there and back and while walking around the shopping centre I was comfortable enough that I forgot I was wearing it.

Vintage Basement Is definitely a store I will be visiting on a regular basis, they stock amazing one off items that you need in you're everyday wardrobe and they also do a customer loyalty.
Vintage basement can be found just off Brick Lane on Cheshire street and you can also find them on Facebook and Instagram so make sure you check them out.
Until next time xx

ILLAMASQUA LIGHT LIQUID FOUNDATION

The Illamasqua Light Liquid foundation is another one of my favourites, it gives you a lighter coverage than the Rich liquid foundation that I did a review on a little while ago, if you haven't seen that yet you can click here.
Wierdly I buy my foundation in bulk and I order it online, I get 3-4 bottles at a time so I don't run out because I just hate running low. I brought this foundation when Illamasqua was last on sale and I actually got them for £5 a bottle which is what I love about Illamasqua, their products are absolutely amazing but that doesn't stop them going on sale but to be fair I am so addicted to their products I would keep buying it even if they didn't go on sale.

Depending on how you apply this foundation will determine the coverage you get, applied with the fingers gives you that light "no make up" make up look that is always good for those days when you want to keep it natural, if you want a light-medium coverage applying it with a stippling brush allows you to build up to the desired coverage.

This foundation goes on so smoothly and blends in effortlessly and flawlessly, it gives my skin glow and when I have it on I totally forget that I'm wearing any foundation it's so light but I would definitely say it's a satin finish and doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy or tacky.

Like the Rich Liquid Foundation this one also comes with a nozzle opening which I like but I'd probably say my only issues with the packaging is because it's such a fluid foundation having it stood upside down when I do open it the foundation sometimes tends to come out faster than I want it to.
This doesn't happen extremely often but when it does i just put any excess into a tester pot and take it with me for if I need reapplying later.

This foundation was in no way made to cover imperfections but if you want to use it and still need imperfections covered I have found that it can be used with the Rich Liquid Foundation and I don't mean mixing the two, I have tried and it doesn't work the consistencies of the two foundations are not compatible and don't blend well! If you use the Rich Liquid as a concealer on any imperfections and blend out and then apply the Light Liquid anywhere you haven't put the Rich Liquid and use a stippling brush to blend out any edged it gives you a flawless finish topped off with a little of the Illamasqua Loose Translucent Powder and you set for the day.

I could talk about Illamasqua foundations for hours that's how much I love them, they on your face over 8 hours without needing a touchup. This foundation lasts due to you needing the smallest amount so regardless of the price it is a must have.
What's your favourite foundation? as you can probably tell by now mine is Illamasqua

Until next time xx

WINTER WARMERS

Im a huge fan of the Winter mostly because I love wrapping up or staying at home watching a movie with a duvet and a cup of tea so I figured I would share a few of my winter warmer favourites of this year.

Firstly this Herringbone oversized scarf (£18) I got from asos a few weeks ago is like my baby I love it. Its so warm and cosy, it compliments every outfit and I love the herringbone print because it makes the simplest coat look a little more dressed up.

Second is Whittard's Dream time instant tea (£5.50). I havn't had this tea in a few years but one day after work I was walking to Tottenham Court Road and I passed the Whittard of Chelsea store and I had to go in and see if they still did this tea, which they did.
The girl that served me told me they no longer displayed it on the shelf in that particular store but they had it behind the counter.
I love this tea it smells so yummy, its honey, apricot and vanilla flavoured and is perfect on a cold winter night just before bed.

Lastly candles. I'm a huge fan of candles especially scented ones they make your house feel so homely and cosy and they make me want to stay in that much more. this big one I got from United Colours Of Benetton (£7) which has a subtle talc scent and it leaves my room smelling like baby powder which I am liking a lot right now.

I have had this candle for a while now and I but didn't want to burn it because it smells so good unlit. I got it as a gift with purchase buying a Kenzo fragrance and the candle is the same scent as the Kenzo Amor fragrance.
I decided it was time to burn it and I wish I had from the start, it smells so much better burning and it gives my room that warm cosy feeling I love.

These are only a few of my favourites Im sure there will be loads more as winter continues.
Do you have any winter warmer favourites?

Until next time xx
